Hi! I’m Claudia Dayani and I’m a Los Angeles based multi-media journalist, content creator and social media expert who graduated from the University of Southern California in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in journalism.

Writing was the first cathartic practice I discovered as a kid when I got in the habit of chronicling all my moods and emotions. Sometimes I'd document my day to day life in such detail that I'd even specify the kind of chips I had for snack— a practice that sadly didn't carry over to my adult life, but did go on to foreshadow who I’d eventually become as a writer— nuanced, detailed, wordy and extremely opinionated.

Truthfully, most of my life experiences and endeavors have shaped and cultivated my identity as a writer. No matter what I got involved with at school, in my personal life or through my work experience, writing and communicating has been at the epicenter of everything.

During all my years as a student journalist, I’ve tackled a plethora of important topics. I was given the chance to perpetuate and encourage meaningful discourse surrounding sexism, immigration, religion, LGBTQ+ issues, body positivity and mental health as well as indulging in the ones that interest me the most such as fashion and music.

Aside from writing, I’ve also had a lot of experience with the more visual, interactive and modern side to storytelling. I've used social media as a tool to report to broader and more diverse audiences by producing social videos, live-tweeting big events and creating native content fit for apps like Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. I also took part in producing a mini documentary following the lives of a majority-undocumented family living in Los Angeles which later got premiered on Fusion TV.

If I'm not drinking an iced oat milk latte, listening to music or ranting on Twitter, then I'm probably doing something incredibly important….just kidding— I do all of these things regardless. Welcome to my page and enjoy the ride!
